The General Maintenance role supports mill operations by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets), door hardware, and minor carpentry
- Maintain mill grounds, including lawn care, debris removal, and general property upkeep
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including lawn care equipment (mowers, trimmers), tractors, and other light machinery
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including HVAC filter changes and basic system cleaning
- Assist with basic operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment system
- Conduct routine inspections and testing as required; identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and testing records
- Assist with general janitorial duties to support overall facility cleanliness and organization
- Perform painting and minor facility improvements as needed
- Support overall mill operations by completing assigned tasks and responding to maintenance needs in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maintenance or related experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift
- Ability to frequently push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 150 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment
- Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to noise; hearing protection required
- Use of compressed air and other equipment requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Exposure to varying temperatures, indoor and outdoor conditions
Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Wages and annual increases are provided in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. Eligible employees receive eleven (11) paid holidays, medical, dental, prescription drug coverage, short-term disability benefits, vision care reimbursement, shoe reimbursement, and a 401(k) retirement plan with Company matching contributions up to $750 annually, plus an annual employer fixed contribution of $1,300. Employees also begin accruing sick leave and vacation time starting on their first day of employment.
