Job Overview

We are seeking a Non-Warranty Claims Specialist in Charlotte or Mooresville, North Carolina, to manage customer claims for post-shipment issues outside product warranty coverage, including freight damage, shipment shortages, incorrect shipments, returns, and freight-pricing discrepancies.

You will own assigned claims from initial review through resolution-validating requests, researching order and shipment details, reviewing documentation, and determining responsibility and next steps. Working with customers, distributors, carriers, factories, and internal teams-including Quality, Shipping, Engineering, and Data Management-you will resolve discrepancies, support carrier claims, process credits, and communicate credit and return information. Success requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to evaluate substantial information across multiple business systems while managing shifting priorities. You will independently resolve straightforward claims and engage the appropriate internal partners on more complex issues.

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong customer-service mindset, effective time management, and a commitment to finding workable solutions. You will apply company policies and creative problem-solving to identify what can be done for the customer while supporting business needs. Clear, timely, professional communication with customers, distributors, and internal teams will be essential to delivering a world-class customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Validate claim requests and collaborate with internal teams and external customers/distributors
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers, factories, and quality teams to resolve claims
  • Book and communicate credit or return information efficiently
  • Maintain clear and professional communication via email and phone with internal and external contacts
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support
  • Handle multiple tasks in a professional and efficient manner
  • Use SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, and MS Office tools to manage customer and claim data
  • Analyze customer needs and resolve issues by applying problem-solving skills
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of claim interactions and resolutions



Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, product services, or a related role.
  • 2+ years independently using a computer to navigate multiple applications and manage files.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Outlook to manage business email, calendars, and meeting invitations.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel to maintain, review, and analyze data.



Core Competencies:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks professionally and efficiently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce (especially customer-related module
    s) is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint



Preferences:
  • Associates Degree in Business, Marketing, or Technical related field preferred
  • Some accounting/financial experience is preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and product knowledge a plus



Travel and Work Arrangements

  • This position is based onsite at our Charlotte, NC or Mocksville, NC
