We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized assistant to support the finance team in maintaining accurate and secure financial records. This role involves logging, organizing, and boxing financial documents to ensure they are easily retrievable and compliant with internal and regulatory requirements. The assistant will work closely with the bookkeeper or accountant to support day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • File Management: Log and organize financial documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements, ledgers, reports) in a systematic manner.
  • Boxing & Storage: Prepare and box financial files according to company standards, ensuring proper labeling, indexing, and secure storage.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including purchases, sales, payments, and receipts.
  • Data Entry & Updates: Enter and update financial information into the company's database or accounting system.
  • Compliance: Ensure all files and records comply with internal policies and financial regulations.
  • Support Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as scanning, copying, and binding documents as needed.
  • Audit Support: Help prepare for audits by organizing and providing required documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a finance, accounting, or administrative support role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
