DevOps/Enablement Engineer

NOTE: This is a fully onsite role located at our client's site in Urbandale, IA. Remote candidates will NOT be considered.

Aquent Studios is looking for an experienced DevOps/Enablement Engineer to:

• Serve as a Senior Developer on the ISG Operations & Enablement team, including handling on-call duties.
• Write code independently without one-on-one direction.
• Explain code to team members, support other development teams, coach others to success, frequently pairing.
• Develop automation for cloud accounts, infrastructure, FinOps and Enablement.
• Troubleshoot production issues and communicate root cause of problems to others.
• Work with teams globally to support the client team's initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Excellent communicator, written and verbal
• Ability to work in a global team environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
• 4+ years of experience with application development and scripting languages
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Able to participate in on-call rotation every month and handle off-hours support work
• Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time or less. Travel will mainly be to a client location.
• 4+ years of experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services)
• AWS Certification (Developer/Architect/DevOps)
• 4+ years of experience with Python, Boto, Terrafrom, TypeScript
• 4+ years of experience with Github Actions CI/CD
• Experience with Agile development processes including: Test Driven Development, Test Automation, PYTest

PREFERRED QUALIIFICATIONS:

• 6+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services [ECS, S3, ES, Lambda, ELB]
• 2+ years of experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
• 2+ years of experience with Elastic Search/Open Search administration or support
• 4+ years of experience with infrastructure as code, automation, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Experience with applications development environment, database, data administration and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
