Job Title: Waste Management Forklift Driver

Summary:

Assist in the safe production of quality products by ensuring clean and orderly conditions are maintained in production areas

Starting Wage: $21.00

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At ANBM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.






      • Operates industrial fork-lift to transport waste materials within plant.
      • Operates industrial waste compactors and performs equipment inspection.
      • Empties and maintains all industrial hoppers in facility.
      • Coordinates with supervisor and or contractors to schedule all waste pick-ups.
      • Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
      • Wipes and or power washes operating equipment.
      • Brushes, sweeps and or shovel debris around work areas as needed.
      • Apply principles of 5S to assigned areas so everything is organized, clean, and safe.
      • Follow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.
      • This list is not all inclusive; other job-related tasks may be assigned.




Education and/or Experience

A minimum of 1 year driving a fork-lift truck is required. Must be able to become forklift certified within our environment.

Able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English to convey information effectively so others will understand.

Must be able to read, understand, and follow all safety instructions.

Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts; hazards common to industrial settings; chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.

Safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves and bump caps for this position must be worn on the production floor. Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.

Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear.

Able to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing.

Use hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials and things.

Capacity to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.

Regularly lift and /or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Able to see details at a distance or at close range (a few feet).

Ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away and judge the distance between yourself and an object.
