Position Title: Crate Builder / Packer
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:30pm - 10:30pm (Monday - Friday) Reached a dead end at your current job? Check out how this position can create a new path! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Crate Builder / Packer at a company in Franklin, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Apply today! Crate Builder / Packer Responsibilities: - Build wooden crates using BoxCAD plans and instructions - Read and follow crate building plans and measurements - Identify different wood types and lumber sizes - Measure, cut, brace, and secure materials inside crates - Use foam, strapping, foil, and other packing materials to protect products - Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment as needed - Complete production records, checklists, and other paperwork accurately - Perform basic equipment maintenance and daily safety checks - Keep the work area clean and organized - Help train new employees when assigned - Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Requirements for Crate Builder / Packer: - High School Diploma/GED preferred - Previous woodworking, crating, packing, or similar manufacturing experience preferred - Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math - Knowledge of hand and power tools - Ability to safely lift and move up to 50+ lbs - Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods - Comfortable working in a loud manufacturing environment - Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear IND104 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
