SUMMARY



Responsible for developing and executing public relations and communications initiatives that strengthen brand visibility, support business objectives and promote the expertise of Alliant Insurance Services and its specialty practices. This role manages media relations, develops compelling content, supports executive communication and collaborates with internal stakeholders to deliver consistent messaging across key channels.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, briefing materials and other public relations content to secure strategic editorial coverage in targeted media outlets.



Develop written content for marketing landing pages, sell sheets, newsletters, online articles, internal communications, social media and other channels.



Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, industry influencers and other key media contacts.



Create, manage and maintain targeted media lists in support of business units, industry verticals and corporate communications initiatives.



Respond to media inquiries, coordinate subject matter expert participation and facilitate media interviews.



Prepare executives and subject matter experts for media interviews by developing briefing documents, key messages and talking points and conducting pre-interview meetings.



Monitor news coverage, public sentiment, industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for news angles, thought leadership and proactive media outreach.



Track media coverage, engagement and campaign performance and prepare regular key performance indicator reports for leadership.



Collaborate with marketing, communications, leadership, sales and specialty practice teams to develop and execute integrated campaigns.



Coordinate messaging across press materials, websites, email nurture campaigns, social media and other marketing channels.



Support corporate communications, events, campaigns, announcements and reputational initiatives.



Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, approvals and deliverables remain on track.



Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.



Performs other duties as assigned.




QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience



Three (3) or more years experience in public relations, corporate communications or marketing communications, preferably in a B2B environment.



Experience developing media relationships and securing editorial coverage in business, trade or industry publications.



Experience using project management systems, media monitoring platforms and analytics tools.



Experience interpreting media and campaign performance data and presenting insights to leadership.



Experience supporting financial services, insurance, professional services or other complex B2B industries.



Experience developing executive communications (internal and external) and preparing subject matter experts for media interviews.



Experience with content marketing, thought leadership and integrated marketing campaigns.




SKILLS



Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills.



Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.



Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.



Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing



Ability to multi-task, with close attention to details and meeting deadlines



Ability to be a team player in a dynamic, changing environment



Sound understanding of communications strategies



Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
