To support our Noise, Vibration, and Harshness division in Erie, Pennsylvania, we are seeking a Supply Chain Intern. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience across key areas of the supply chain function at Parker Lord. This internship offers the opportunity to learn within a successful manufacturing environment while building knowledge and practical skills across multiple aspects of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support commodity managers with supplier research, market benchmarking, and data validation.
  • Assist in preparing RFQs, comparing supplier quotes, and summarizing sourcing recommendations.
  • Help monitor supplier performance metrics such as quality, delivery, lead time, and responsiveness.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, operations, and finance to gather sourcing requirements.
  • Support supplier communication for quotes, documentation, delivery updates, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with risk management activities, including supplier capacity reviews and material availability tracking.
  • Track purchase price variance, inflation impacts, and savings opportunities by commodity.
  • Perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities that will include cross-functional experience.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least a sophomore pursuing a BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Innovative, selfmotivated, and able to work independently when required.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.
