Description

Reporting to the DGSOM Building Operations Manager, the Building Coordinator serves as the
primary coordinator for CHS building operations, access control. Serves as
backup coverage for building coordinators and delivers cross-building
operational assistance as needed. Oversees CHS loading dock B, and the
conference rooms at CHS, conducting regular facility inspections, coordinating
maintenance follow-up, tracking projects, and reviewing access and security
needs. Ensures continuity of operations by assuming oversight responsibilities
for assigned facilities and programs during staff absences and vacation
coverage. The Building Coordinator supports distribution of building management
services to occupants of DGSOM buildings as provided by other organizations or
as outlined in Sales & Services agreements. Works on special projects to
support changes in Building Management Operations. Works with the team closely
connected to School leadership and committed to the mission, vision, and values
of the DGSOM.

Salary Range: $30.77 - $46.87 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of
    education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Strong verbal communication skills. Spanish language skills
  • Ability to professionally interact with internal and
    external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork for internal and
    external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in DGSOM, Facility Management (FM), and
    Building Operations procedures and processes, Service request system and
    outside venders.
  • Working Knowledge of UCLA and DGSOM financial systems and
    practices including DGSOM procurement portal, bruin buy, FM Billing with
    blanket and FAU, Facilities Services request (FSR) system.
  • Good Judgement on issues that may affect public safety
  • Ability to follow through with tasks despite frequent
    interruptions
  • Keep up to date on all online and in person training
    requirements
  • Ability to be flexible in work location and to provide
    consistent support to team and building occupants

Preferred:

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience or training.
