POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for directing day-to-day land application operations, contractor management, logistics coordination, compliance activities, and field execution to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery. This position coordinates and oversees internal drivers and third-party contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Ensuring safety is always a priority for all team members. This includes adherence to policies & procedures and ensures all training is completed timely and effectively.
- Directly supervise employees as well as sub-contract services.
- Interpret operational data and make operational changes as needed.
- Coordinate equipment and resource availability to maximize operational uptime and productivity.
- Successfully interface with customers, landowners, haulers, and contractors to ensure efficient transportation and land application of material.
- Achieve budget & other KPI targets for managed projects.
- Manage project financials & provide accurate forecasting/scheduling.
- Daily local travel required for on-site management of projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for applying effective project management and/or performance improvement tools and techniques for system initiatives, balancing cost, schedule, and risks against projects and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with Leadership and Operations.
- Develops and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations.
- Maintain high level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential materials daily.
- Manage, train, supervise, and monitor performance of field personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
- Monitor and control field operations in accordance with SOP's, and established company policies and procedures.
- Frequent independent decision-making to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
- Develop and maintain daily documentation relating to removal and materials land applied as well as compliance monitoring and documentation.
- Provide daily status reports to the Facilities Manager covering all operational activities.
- Checking fields and verifying they are ready for delivery.
- Verifying loads delivered to the site match truck tickets and quantities.
- Work with Tech Services to ensure sufficient field availability to support operational requirements.
- Manage pad loadout operations and tracking of material to support efficient logistics and land application activities.
- Ensure all drivers, including third-party haulers, comply with all regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
- Monitor truck turns and utilization of third-party haulers and internal trucking drivers to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
- Complete a field tracking sheet, which includes field codes, date, wet tons, and percent complete, acres that were land applied. This needs to be completed on a daily basis; at the end of the week, TSS will meet with him to gather these sheets.
- Conduct spot checks of fields to verify application activities, ensure compliance, and complete field closeout.
- Maintain regular communication with the third-party spreading contractors to ensure land application activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Agriculture, Environmental Services or Construction Management experience preferred.
- 2-5 years of supervisory, operations, logistics, or contractor management experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills & excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail. Must be able to plan and coordinate complex systems and processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred.
- Be able to operate heavy equipment, i.e. tractor, loader, spreader, etc. if properly trained.
