Job Duties
The ECU, College of Nursing continuously strives to create a learning environment and workplace culture that provides opportunity, support, and consideration for all students, employees, alumni, and other stakeholders. The ECU, College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for two, full-time faculty positions with strong expertise in medical-surgical nursing. Faculty responsibilities include planning, teaching and evaluating primarily face-to-face theory, lab and clinical courses. This faculty position will be accountable for teaching courses such as advanced medical surgical
nursing, pathophysiology and/or pharmacology for pre-licensure nursing students. The position may also involve the direct supervision of students in clinical and lab settings. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing.

Contingent upon the availability of funds.
Minimum Education/Experience
Master's degree in nursing from an appropriately accredited institution. Two years of medical-surgical nursing experience is required. A valid non-restricted North Carolina nursing license is required upon employment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
A PhD in Nursing is preferred or a closely related discipline with a graduate degree in nursing. Preference will be given to applicants with recent clinical and teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing. Certification as a Certified Nurse Educator ( CNE) is preferred.
