Overview

TRC's Advanced Energy Strategic Deployment team is seeking a DataAnalystIIto support data management, analysis, and reporting across strategic projects that advance the energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing metrics and building reports for avariety ofprojects,with the knowledge and expertise to create, edit, and modify data sets and produce accurate, timely, and clear analytics for the team and our clients.

The ideal candidate is an independent, detail-oriented contributor with a positive attitude who excels at multitasking whilemaintaininga high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and reliability. They will bring curiosity about emerging tools-including AI-and a desire to apply data analytics, visualization, and geospatial techniques to real-world advanced energy challenges. A sufficient understanding of the energy industry to interpret the datarequiredforthe position is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide valuable insight to program teams based on the data collected, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain customized dashboards and reporting for clients, subcontractors, management, and cross-functional team members in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
  • Sort through and interpret high quantities of data, identifying, diagnosing, and correcting discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop data models through reporting and visualization to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and report program key performance metrics and provide updates to management.
  • Support program platform tasks, including configuration, dashboards, and data import/export as directed.
  • Provide input for troubleshooting, process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
  • Research and present market intelligence and customer trends to support strategic advanced energy projects.
  • Explore and pilot AI-enabled and geospatial (GIS) approaches to streamline data-intensive processes and enhance analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Geography/GIS, Engineering, Environmental Studies, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience performing data analysis and using tools to create reports, dashboards, and data exploration.
  • Residency in the Denver, Colorado area preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams); advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Tableau, R, or Python).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time-management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously withdemonstratedaccuracy and reliability.
  • Experience applying AI / machine-learning tools to data analysis, automation, or reporting.
  • Strong Power BI development skills (data modeling, DAX, interactive dashboards).
  • Microsoft Enterprise ecosystem experience, including Microsoft Dynamics (a plus), Power Platform, and SharePoint.
  • ArcGIS / Esri experience for spatial data creation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Additional data analytics skills such as SQL, Python, R, or data-pipeline/API integration.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and self-direct across many concurrent stretch assignments in a high-paced, high-accountability environment with minimal oversight.
  • Strong interestor experience supporting projectsinthe energy space, such asenergy efficiency(EE),demand response(DR),distributed energy resource management systems (DERMS), or similar utility/clean-energyprojects.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
