Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Baker Lead to prepare high-quality breads, desserts, pastries, and cold food items for lunch and dinner service. This role is responsible for following standardized recipes and production schedules, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and helping create a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment.

Essential Responsibilities





    • Prepare breads, desserts, pastries, and cold food items needed for lunch and dinner service.
    • Follow standardized recipes, designated procedures, and production specifications to create quality baked goods and pastries.
    • Prepare breads and desserts for the following day using Master Production Sheets, including required quantities.
    • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the dessert freezer and pantry.
    • Properly label and date food items according to established standards.
    • Follow all food-handling, safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and properly care for kitchen equipment.
    • Use appropriate cleaning and sanitation techniques at all times.
    • Support the organization's mission, vision, and values through a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude.
    • Demonstrate C.A.R.E. First-Compassionate Acts Reflecting Excellence-in all aspects of the role.
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining team members to support timely, high-quality meal service.




Qualifications





    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Two-year culinary degree preferred.
    • Minimum of three years of experience in baking, pastry preparation, salad preparation, or related food-service work required.




Skills and Abilities





    • Ability to follow standardized recipes, production sheets, and food-preparation procedures.
    • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and safe operation of standard kitchen appliances and equipment.
    • Ability to maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced food-service environment.
    • Strong organization, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Positive communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
