Position Summary The ACLS Instructor is a part-time, hourly position responsible for facilitating American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses for learners at the UMKC School of Medicine. Under the supervision of simulation center leadership, the ACLS Instructor delivers standardized, high-quality advanced resuscitation and cardiovascular emergency instruction in compliance with current AHA curriculum guidelines. This role supports the UMKC SOM mission to provide competency-based training to healthcare learners across the UMKC SOM enterprise. Duties & Responsibilities

This position is a 12-month, part-time, non-benefit eligible, unranked academic position. Class offerings will vary depending on schedule. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Current AHA ACLS Provider and BLS Provider certifications. Preferred Qualifications Current AHA ACLS Instructor certification in good standing. Active or recent clinical practice in an acute care, emergency, or critical care setting (e.g., RN, physician, PA, paramedic, or equivalent). Previous experience instructing in an academic medical center, simulation center, or clinical education environment. Familiarity with high-fidelity simulation equipment and megacode scenario facilitation. Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $32/hour Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements. Application Materials
