This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located at Torrey Pines with possibility of hybrid schedule. What you'll do:
Work directly with Scripps Clinic Medical Group. Responsible and accountable for Medical Group physician support services including policy development and administration, including locum tenens. Implements and coordinates all aspects of on-boarding of new physicians including physician recruitment, mal-practice coverage, credentialing and other related requirements. Provides oversight and management of consulting and affiliation contracts for Scripps Medical Foundation Medical Groups Partners with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Executive Director, SMF to develop new and renewed physician contracts. Responsible for managing physician outside service agreements, conflict of interest and other related subjects. Maintains medical staff records, including leave of absence, time off and outside activity. Manages day to day operations of the Medical Group Human Resource functions, including payroll, retirement, benefit files and worker's compensation. Supports the Peer Review process and Quality Review Committee, managing the generation of annual evaluations, collating data, and organizing case files for review. Leads and coordinates audits and reports for the Medical Group, including malpractice audits, compliance audits, and credentialing audits. Manages malpractice policy in coordination with CMO & President, including renewal and submission. Any additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Five years' experience (3 of which in leadership) in office administration, staff onboarding, development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Experience working with outside vendors and contracts.
- Highly organized with the ability to set priorities and work independently.
- Must effectively interact with and gain confidence of physicians.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong writing skills needed to help develop letters, reports, and other written materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
- High computer literacy and prior use of Microsoft Office suite.
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of NCQA Credentialing Standards and Risk Management.
