Job Title: Service Technician
Location: Buffalo, NY with 20-30% travel after training. Training involves 70% travel for the first 6 months!
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: 28-35/HR
Schedule: Monday-Friday 830-5PM
About the Opportunity: This is a hybrid role based at our Buffalo headquarters, and most of your week is spent here: taking customer calls, diagnosing problems remotely, and working hands-on with machines in our building - demo units, bench repairs, and equipment sent back for service. Roughly 20-30% of the time you travel to a customer site when the fix has to happen there. It is a role built on strong communication and hands-on problem solving

What You'll Do:
  • Provide first-line customer support by phone and remote session, guiding operators through machine diagnosis and repair.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot demo and training machines at the Buffalo facility.
  • Tear down, diagnose, rebuild, and test returned machines, tool heads, and assemblies.
  • Identify correct parts and support warranty replacements, RMAs, and troubleshooting orders.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, motion-control, and PC-based machine systems.
  • Travel to customer sites approximately 20-30% of the time to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and restore machines to factory performance.
  • Accurately document service work, parts used, and repair findings.
  • Support and train new technicians and contribute to service documentation.
  • Perform basic counting, measurements, and calculations to verify parts, quantities, dimensions, and repair requirements.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively assist customers with troubleshooting and repairs by phone or remote support.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial electromechanical equipment.
  • Experience working with PC-based machine controls, software, and related diagnostic systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain a passport for occasional travel.
  • High school diploma or technical certificate required.

Associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent technical education is preferred.
