*** IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION CANDIDATES MUST BE SERVING PERMANENTLY IN THE TITLE OF ADMINISTRATIVE COMMUNITY RELATIONS SPECIALIST, REACHABLE ON THE CIVIL SERVICE LIST OR ELIGIBLE UNDER THE 55A PROGRAM. *** Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, accredited by regional, national, professional or specialized agencies recognized as accrediting bodies by the U. S. Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and four years of satisfactory, full-time community liaison, community organization or community relations experience, at least two years of which must have been in a broad administrative or policy-making capacity with responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating, developing, evaluating and/or administering a large community service program or activity; or Preferred Skills Preference will be given to candidate who has a familiarity with PRISE and PMS. Experience navigating NYCAPS and producing CHRMS reports is desired as well as an understanding of the Job Opening process and roles. Strong computer skills, particularly Excel and Word is also desired. Excellent verbal, written and communication skills are a plus. 55a Program This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
