The Surveying and Geomatics Business Unit is seeking a Survey and Geomatics Delivery Leader - Mountain West Region in Spokane, WA, Boise, Coeur d'Alene, Pocatello, ID, Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT.

As a Survey & Geomatics Delivery Leader, you'll provide operational, people, and project delivery leadership across DEA's Mountain West (Colorado, Utah) and Inland Northwest (Idaho, Eastern Washington) markets. You'll work closely with project managers and leaders across the region to align people and resources with project needs, anticipate workload, and maintain visibility into schedules, budgets, quality, and overall market performance. You'll balance regional delivery leadership with hands-on project management, staff development, client engagement, and business development while helping teams consistently deliver high-quality work.

What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Surveying and Geomatics project delivery across the Mountain West and Inland Northwest, coordinating staffing, workload forecasting, utilization, and workshare across teams and markets.
  • Serve as a project manager while partnering with other project managers to monitor schedules, budgets, revenue forecasts, deliverables, quality, and overall project performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff and Group Leaders, making informed staffing and resource decisions while supporting recruiting, engagement, retention, and professional growth.
  • Promote consistent project delivery practices, technical standards, quality expectations, and effective use of Surveying and Geomatics technologies across the region.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal partners, supporting client satisfaction, business development, and strategic decisions that advance market performance.
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consulting organization, including progressively responsible Surveying and Geomatics experience.
  • Prior experience managing and developing professional and technical staff, with demonstrated ability to lead teams and make effective staffing and resource decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including responsibility for staffing, schedules, budgets, forecasting, quality, deliverables, and client outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, partnering, and strategic and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to establish priorities and gain support from multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate risk, reward, and cost while promoting consistency and standardization across teams and markets.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or other relevant professional licensure.
  • Experience delivering Surveying and Geomatics services for transportation and/or energy clients.
  • Experience leading project delivery or operations across multiple offices, markets, or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience with client relationship management, business development, and modern Surveying and Geomatics technologies and workflows, including LiDAR and CAD.
