Quality Technician 1

Entry level Technician working under the direction of Quality Engineering to implement quality planning for manufactured and purchased products.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing and recommending modifications to inspection instructions.
  • Liaison between Inspection and Quality Engineering.
  • Support Quality Clinic activities and processing.
  • Analyze customer and internal quality documents, including manufacturing planning, specifications, procedures, and purchase orders and present to Quality Engineering for approval.
  • Read and understand drawings, including basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Work effectively using software including TipQA, Adobe Suite, MS Office, Infor XA and Discus.
  • Task oriented.
  • Requires basic guidance and direction from Quality Engineering or Supervisor.
  • Possess proactive, positive attitude and represent Quality Assurance as a resource to the department and company.
  • Typically a successful QA Inspector 2, or possessing relevant outside experience or technical degree.

Working Conditions

Use of protective equipment such as safety glasses as required to prevent injuries.

Physical Requirements

Performs physical activities that may require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing and handling of material.

Conditions of Employment

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $21.2/hr to $27.35/hr
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
