Position Summary:
The Allied Fleet Sales Specialist provides administrative and sales support to the Director of Rental Fleet by coordinating allied fleet rollout activities, maintaining online equipment listings, supporting allied fleet remarketing activities, developing equipment pricing and customer quotations, managing online marketplace listings, coordinating vendor relationships, and serving as the pricing resource for allied rollout equipment. Within established pricing and profitability guidelines, this role exercises independent judgment in developing customer pricing and supporting sales representatives to maximize sales opportunities while protecting margin. This role helps maximize the efficiency and marketability of Allied rental fleet assets while supporting timely equipment sales and exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate Allied Fleet Rollout Activities -- Support the Allied Fleet Manager by tracking rollout equipment activity, monitoring equipment availability, maintaining accurate equipment records, and ensuring timely communication of rollout opportunities.
  • Online Marketplace & Equipment Listings -- Create, maintain, and update equipment listings on approved online marketplaces. Coordinate with branch personnel to obtain equipment photographs and verify listing accuracy including specifications, hours, attachments, condition, and pricing guidance.
  • Pricing Strategy & Sales Support - Serve as the primary pricing resource for selected Allied rental fleet rollout equipment. Develop customer pricing and quotations for assigned Allied rollout units within established pricing, margin, and profitability guidelines. Exercise independent decision-making authority when developing customer pricing recommendations without requiring routine approval from the Allied Fleet Manager. Evaluate market conditions, equipment age, utilization, acquisition cost, inventory levels, and profitability objectives when determining selling prices. Provide timely pricing guidance and recommendations to sales representatives to support customer opportunities. Balance competitiveness with profitability while ensuring consistency with company pricing strategies. Escalate only pricing exceptions or opportunities outside established authority levels.
  • Vendor Support & Communication -- Maintain relationships with assigned allied equipment vendors by requesting pricing, product information, lead times, and supporting documentation. Organize vendor quotes and information to support purchasing and fleet decisions.
  • Equipment & Sales Administration -- Monitor equipment listing status, update availability as units are sold or transferred, maintain documentation related to rollout quotes, vendor pricing, listings, and equipment files.
  • Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Coordination -- Partner with Rental Operations, Branches, Sales Representatives, and the Allied Fleet Manager to improve listing accuracy, quote turnaround, communication, and overall sales support processes.

Requirements
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of administrative support, sales support, dealership operations, rental operations, or related experience preferred.
* Experience with equipment sales/rental operations preferred.
* Microsoft Office and dealership/ERP systems.
* Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
* Prior experience with Online Marketplace listings specifically in the heavy equipment industry strongly preferred
* Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate pricing opportunities, equipment value, and profitability.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent pricing decisions within established authority levels.
* Comfortable balancing sales growth with margin protection.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
* Primary work is performed in an office or service facility environment with frequent communication by phone and computer.
* Tasks involve sitting for extended periods, using hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone, and reaching with arms.
* Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling may be required, especially when verifying equipment status in the yard or assisting with parts logistics.
* Employees are regularly required to talk and hear to communicate with technicians and customers; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
* Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., moving parts or equipment files) and safely handle heavier loads up to 50 pounds with assistance when necessary.
* Work may occasionally involve exposure to a warehouse or outdoor environment with moderate noise and varying weather conditions; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used as required.
