What This Role Involves

Our Transaction Management team partners with clients to strategize, evaluate, and execute real estate transactions that align with their business and occupancy objectives. As Senior Transaction Manager on a large client account, you'll manage transactions while providing mentorship and support to Transaction Managers. You'll serve as a trusted advisor and execution specialist, ensuring seamless transaction delivery while developing team capabilities.

This position requires overseeing regular reporting, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and documentation of strategic client issues. You'll collaborate closely with Analysts and Transaction Managers, sharing workload and expertise to drive successful outcomes.

Success in this role demands demonstrated experience managing complex projects, strategic thinking, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to build strong client trust.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a key point of contact for client on assigned transactions

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on transaction opportunities and challenges

  • Lead regular client meetings and weekly transaction update calls

  • Continuously improve transaction management processes and client experience

  • Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve financial modeling, transaction, and landlord issues

  • Coordinate and manage tours with client stakeholders as necessary

  • Deliver clear, comprehensive transaction reporting

Transaction Leadership & Execution

  • Independently manage and execute lease transactions of varying complexity with high proficiency

  • Deliver measurable value through negotiation of favorable economic terms and flexible lease structures

  • Build customized reports, dashboards, and analytics tailored to account team needs

  • Support the client in completing numerous annual transactions while adhering to JLL and client standards

  • Monitor progress of assigned transactions and provide oversight to team members as needed

  • Gather client requirements, analyze market data, review market reports, and coordinate with broker partners nationally

  • Oversee site selection and evaluation processes

  • Create comprehensive RFPs, negotiate LOIs, leases as needed

  • Prepare approval packages for client senior management review

  • Develop occupancy cost savings strategies and evaluate alternative solutions

  • Review commission invoices and ensure Dealio accuracy and regular updates

Team Development & Collaboration

  • Mentor and coach Transaction Managers, providing guidance on complex transactions

  • Share best practices and support skill development across the team

  • Collaborate effectively with Analysts and other team members to ensure seamless execution

  • Partner with Account Leadership to identify opportunities for expanded client service

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, including 2-4 years in a Transaction Manager or comparable CRE role

  • Proven transaction management expertise with strong contract review and lease/purchase negotiation skills

  • Experience partnering with corporate clients to achieve real estate objectives

  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting implications of transactions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, collaboration, organization, and process management skills

  • Ability to interpret and communicate business intelligence and data analytics effectively

  • Outstanding client service orientation

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
