MANAGER - STAFF DEVELOPMENT SENIOR DE-ESCALATION SPECIALIST SBHS is looking for an experienced Senior De-Escalation Specialist/Staff Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The senior de-escalation specialist will oversee the de-escalation specialist team, provide supervision and assist the specialists in total consumer care through implementation of appropriate therapeutic approaches within the therapeutic milieu. The de-escalation specialist will provide direct therapeutic care to all consumers throughout the lifespan who are in psychiatric crisis to intervene and stabilize behaviors. The senior de-escalation specialist will also oversee CPI instructors at our facility to assure they are applying competent education on the skills. This role is responsible for mentoring and coaching clinical staff as part of the mentoring program. The senior de-escalation specialist is to report to and lead behavioral interventions with consumers in crisis, assess crisis situations and determines the appropriate level of intervention required, ensure appropriate CPI techniques are being used, and debrief with staff after interventions. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in crisis intervention and mentoring skills REQUIRED. 3-5 years experience preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Verbal De-Escalation Training and Milieu Management Training REQUIRED.
