Job Overview:
Our Ingersoll Rand/Nash Marine Division In Bentleyville, PA, is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer III? to join our team! The Supplier Quality Engineer III works under limited supervision, responsible for performing a variety of duties efficiently with high-quality results. The Supplier Quality Engineer will be expected to perform duties as Supplier Quality Engineer and Quality Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Review commercial and DoD contracts for quality/compliance requirements, including customer flow-down clauses and coded notes.
- Maintain quality documentation, certifications, and order control folders; verify and file Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and material certifications.
- Process non-conforming material reports, quality notifications, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
- Partner with Engineering and Assembly teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform final inspections to ensure products meet customer, contract, and quality requirements.
- Process SAP Warehouse Management and Inventory transactions; maintain accurate material storage locations.
- Support ISO 9001:2015 compliance, audits, safety requirements, housekeeping (5S), and government contract standards.
- Work independently with limited supervision while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain DoD Security Clearance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or trade school graduate with 5+ years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in an ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality inspection, inventory management, and computer-based systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read/write English and perform basic math, including geometry.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, GD&T, 3D models, and assembly blueprints.
- Knowledge of government contract requirements, including FAR/DFAR regulations, technical flow-downs, and coded notes.
- Understanding of military quality/manufacturing specifications, Navy technical publications, welding, and non-destructive testing requirements.
Preferences:
- Experience using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and thread gauges.
- Familiarity with advanced inspection equipment such as Faro, Romer, or Keyence systems.
- SAP Warehouse Management experience.
- Material handling experience including receiving, staging, storing, shipping, packaging, and crate/box handling.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience.
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and report review (PMI, VT, PT).
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- This position may require up to 25% travel to supplier locations for quality audits, inspections, and issue resolution activities.
