$54,683.20 - $91,145.60 Children's National Health System (CNHS) has been a pioneer in pediatric healthcare in our region since 1870. We are committed to creating lasting bonds between our patients and providers to ensure the overall well-being of children in our region and beyond. A Patient Portal allows for this communication to reach its optimal potential in a secure and robust way (https://www .healthit.gov/providers-professionals/faqs/what-patient-portal). Patients and parents are able to do schedule appointments, view lab results, and send messages to providers and much more with the use of this powerful product and its numerous features. This can all be accomplished from a cell phone, tablet or laptop increasing the convenience of use. This position will work closely with front end staff and providers in all arenas to increase utilization of the patient portal leading to improved patient engagement resulting in stronger, healthier children in our area. They will facilitate knowledge of the portal with patients and front end staff by demonstrating its benefits and ease of use via various instructional modalities including intuitive, interactive training materials. This role will measure uptake via monitoring and reporting of front end staff and patient sign up. Follow-up outreach will be done based on reports/analytics. Minimum Education

Required Skills/Knowledge
Ability to develop training aids including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and computer tutorials in order to deliver concise material about new technology
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community

Functional Accountabilities
Professional Practice/Research
  • Facilitate maximum utilization of secure messaging with patient portal use via development of educational materials for patients and staff
  • Assist in reporting for Meaningful Use requirements related to secure messaging
New Knowledge, Innovations, and Improvements
  • Develop instructional aids including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and computer tutorials in order to deliver concise material about new technology
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs, and utilize relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods
  • Assist in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, departments, and/or external organizations

The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications. Children's National is committed to providing a fair and competitive total rewards package to each of our employees. This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
