Job Summary Utility and Energy Services at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Utility Plant Electrician! The primary focus is the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment, controls, metering, and related systems. Work is performed with a strong emphasis on safety, code compliance, and minimizing downtime. The position also supports the campus wide utility metering system, I&C, and Medium Voltage tasks. Candidates should have general knowledge of power distribution equipment, motors, Variable Speed/Frequency Drives (VSD, VFD), electrical metering, totalizers, and pneumatic devices, and a working knowledge of electrical diagrams and circuits, and familiarity with NEC.
