* On Campus: This position is performed fully on the campus of the University Medical Center.

* This position is: Commensurate PRN (pro re nata)

* Work Schedule: As needed.

* Temporary: A staff member may serve in temporary status in a continuous appointment for no more than one year to meet an emergency or temporary need of the University. Employees in this classification will not be eligible for university benefits.

Qualifications | Senior Occupational Therapist | Inpatient Acute Care

Required Qualifications:

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.

* Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy is required.

* 2+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy is required, with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.

* Demonstrated skills in clinical education abilities.

* Demonstrated leadership abilities.

* Demonstrated experience as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Desirable Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience in Occupational Therapy.

* 3+ years of experience in one or more assigned areas of responsibility is desired.

* Ability to practice in an autonomous manner.

* Demonstrated effectiveness and efficiency in provision of patient care.

* Demonstrated effort to enhance one's own knowledge, skills, and abilities.

* Demonstrated program/service development or quality improvement projects.
