This position at the Regional Professional Development Center (RPDC), part of the University of Missouri-Kansas City's School of Education, is primarily funded through a contract with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The physical location of the RPDC is Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO Suite 401. The Missouri Registered Youth Apprenticeship (RYA) program is a statewide, collaborative initiative that supports the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's (DESE) Show-Me Success Strategic Plan goal that all Missouri students will graduate ready for success. Partners in leading and promoting the program include state agencies, key employers, employer organizations, secondary and post-secondary institutions, and community organizations. The RYA Regional Consultant reports to the Director of the UMKC RPDC and will serve all partners in developing successful RYA programs in Missouri's public school system consistent with local, state, and federal regulations. The RYA Regional Consultant's primary goal will be to help secure registered apprenticeship in all areas of career and technical education (CTE), including the areas of advanced manufacturing, information systems and technology, and construction laborer/tradesman. Registered youth apprenticeships in other content areas are also encouraged. The RYA consultant will:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $58,000-$62,000 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
