NSG, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Transportation Mechanic in our Mundelein location. The hours for this position are 2pm -10:30pm, but during training period hours will be 6:30am - 3:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

The Transportation Mechanic-2nd Class-1st two years performs the following duties:

  • Ensure proper repair and maintenance of company vehicles, tools and equipment by performing preventative maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and servicing, machining operations, critical welding, tire and wheel assembly maintenance and repairs, recording said maintenance and repairs in the current Fleet CMMS system,
  • Procure necessary parts per current company procedures and policies
  • Vehicle cleaning.
  • Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned and as provided for in general statement for position descriptions.
  • Report to assigned group general Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years - Automotive maintenance experience
  • 1+ years - Basic PC skills
  • Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire with proper endorsements and medical certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Degree is Preferred.

Minimum Posting Range: $44.75

Maximum Posting Range: $47.71

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
