Job Summary

The Finance Associate I supports the Finance team by managing procurement activities, expense reporting, financial reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This role is responsible for creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, monitoring invoices and vendor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting ERP procurement systems. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting or finance background, experience with ERP and procurement platforms, and advanced Excel skills for analyzing large data sets.

Job Responsibilities



  • Create and manage purchase requisitions (PRs) and purchase orders (POs) within ERP procurement systems.
  • Coordinate vendor setup, maintenance, and management activities.
  • Monitor invoices, purchase orders, and cash disbursements to ensure timely processing.
  • Support procurement operations and assist with ERP system transitions and enhancements.
  • Provide procurement and financial support to internal business partners.
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities.
  • Prepare journal support, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Reconcile accrued and prepaid balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure expenses are recorded in the appropriate accounting period.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communicate financial information, reporting results, and account variances to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation and support audit requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial and procurement processes.
  • Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience using general ledger systems such as SAP or Oracle required.
  • Experience with procurement and purchasing systems such as SAP Ariba or Oracle Fusion required.
  • Experience creating purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor records, and procurement documentation.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including analyzing large data sets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to changing business priorities.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or another quantitative field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
