What You'll Do:

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize manufacturing performance within Dyno Nobel's Electronics Department. You will partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities, eliminate process inefficiencies, improve productivity, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance. Other duties include:

  • Improve production processes, increase equipment effectiveness, and support operational excellence.

  • Demonstrate and promote a commitment to Zero Harm through safety leadership and behavior-based safety practices.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify and implement manufacturing improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and optimize operational performance.

  • Partner with site leadership to implement standard work, line balancing, workflow improvements, and bottleneck reduction initiatives.

  • Establish performance baselines, develop improvement targets, and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

  • Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.

  • Conduct time studies, process analyses, material flow studies, and manufacturing layout evaluations to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Collect and analyze manufacturing data to identify root causes, develop solutions, and measure results.

  • Lead implementation of process improvements while establishing controls to sustain long-term results.

  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering teams, and contractors to implement improvements.

  • Identify and introduce innovative technologies and process improvements to enhance manufacturing capability.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or a related discipline.3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.

  • Experience applying Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, process optimization, or root cause analysis methodologies preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process problems, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to drive operational improvements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP, Minitab, or manufacturing data systems preferred.

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives

  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
