| Job Description |
**CONTRACT PENDING AWARD**
Administers design, organization, and implementation of network, and heads technical support staff who
manage and maintain hubs, servers, and routers.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Utilizes knowledge and understanding of both networking and telecommunications theory and
practice
* Communicates with users, technical teams, and vendors on new technology and system upgrades
and to determine software and hardware installation requirements
* Determines equipment which meets establishment requirements, utilizing information from reading
technical manuals and brochures
* Assists in presenting recommendations related to purchasing and installing hardware, software, and
telecommunication equipment
* Develops and monitors security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses,
unauthorized users, and damage to data
* Analyzes traffic and workload for optimum network performance to ensure organization's objectives
are met
* Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications
hardware and software
* Prepares charts and diagrams to explain network operation and to train managers and others in
proper use
* Organizes training programs and prepares checklists and processes for help desk
* Oversees or assist in installation of communications hardware
* Performs minor equipment repair
* Performs other duties as assigned

| Qualifications |
Required Skills and Qualifications
* BA/BS degree (8+ additional years of experience in lieu of the degree is acceptable)
* 10+ years of experience
* CompTIA: Security+ CE
* Understanding of LANs, WANs, Virtual Private Networks, and telecommunications systems
* Knowledge of cybersecurity components including firewalls, access control, and security measures
* Proficiency with Cisco and Microsoft technologies, network hardware configuration, and operating
systems
* Familiarity with cloud computing, software development concepts, and automation tool
* Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and maintain network performance
Physical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment
* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time
* Must be capable of lifting 25 lbs. unassisted

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
* Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
* Must be able to successfully complete a background check
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
