Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The FICC COO organization is seeking a Project Manager II to support business project management, execution tracking, governance, and stakeholder coordination across Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate Derivatives, and Commodities.

The role will work across Product Management, Middle Office, Risk, Regulatory, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and broader Markets partners to help drive delivery of key business, operational, control, and regulatory priorities.

This role is responsible for supporting assigned projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, scope definition, milestone tracking, execution coordination, reporting, issue resolution, and delivery follow-through. The successful candidate will bring structure to complex cross-functional work, facilitate communication across teams, and help ensure project goals, timelines, risks, dependencies, and outcomes are clearly understood and actively managed.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy - Responsible for the strategic development, execution, and management of projects. Maximizes available resources while minimizing risk. Ensures high quality results by employing best practices, engaging appropriate expertise, and making administrative decisions.
Project Coordination - Coordinates a team of associates throughout project life cycle. Conveys clear expectations of project goals. Resolves issues, directs work activities, and keeps team on track with project schedule.
Collaboration - Works in conjunction with individuals, business units, and outside parties. Assists in negotiations with external consultants or vendors. Facilitates communication across functions to enhance process flow.
Reporting - Implements methods of tracking progress and performance. Conveys results of tracking to appropriate parties through reports or other documentation.
Position Specific Skills:
Proficiency in technology disciplines (programming language, network engineering, database architecture, system analysis, etc.).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Project Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Project Management.

* Experience in project management, business project management, business management, COO, operations, risk, regulatory, product management, or a related financial services function.
* Experience managing or supporting project lifecycle activities, including planning, scope definition, execution tracking, issue management, reporting, and delivery coordination.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear materials for senior or cross-functional audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple functions and drive follow-up on deliverables.
* Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and open issues, and escalate appropriately.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with Markets, FICC, FX, Interest Rate Derivatives, Commodities, or related capital markets businesses.
* Experience working in a Markets COO, business management, middle office, operations, risk, regulatory change, or control environment.
* Understanding of trade lifecycle, front-to-back operating models, product governance, risk and control frameworks, or regulatory remediation.
* Experience creating project dashboards, executive updates, management reporting, project plans, and governance materials.
* Experience working with technology, operations, risk, compliance, legal, finance, or external vendor partners.
* Familiarity with Project Management Life Cycle disciplines; SDLC exposure helpful where projects include technology dependencies.
* Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, Visio, or other project/reporting platforms.


Additional Information

The base pay for this position is generally between $104,000.00 and $140,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
