IT Analyst, Manufacturing
Location: Humboldt, TN Pay: Up to $40.00/hour We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst to provide onsite technical support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an IT professional with 5+ years of experience and a strong background supporting manufacturing plants, assembly operations, or production environments. The position will serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for the facility, supporting both office staff and shop-floor employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support for office staff and manufacturing/shop-floor employees.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and end-user technology issues.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers, phones, mobile devices, peripherals, software, and related IT equipment.
- Issue and configure computers, phones, and other technology equipment for employees.
- Manage and document incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the service desk system.
- Prioritize support requests based on their impact to production and business operations.
- Support moves, adds, and changes (MAC requests) and maintain accurate IT asset inventories.
- Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to minimize disruptions to production.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve escalated issues.
- Create and maintain site-specific technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge base resources.
- Provide training and guidance to end users to prevent recurring technology issues.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software asset information within asset management systems.
- Actively seek feedback from customers to improve IT support processes and relationships.
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, pages, and escalated IT issues during and after core business hours.
- Participate in overtime and weekend support as needed to meet production requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the Information Technology industry.
- Previous IT support experience within a manufacturing plant, assembly operation, production facility, or industrial environment strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma and/or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or technical support roles.
- Strong hardware and software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading end-user equipment.
- Ability to understand and prioritize IT issues based on their impact to production.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both office and manufacturing employees.
- Ability to work independently and effectively leverage internal IT resources when escalation is required.
- Experience with service desk/ticketing systems and IT asset management preferred.
- Must be flexible and willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary to support production needs.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, onsite manufacturing environment.
