The Spare Parts Planner is an individual contributor within the Plant Integration Central Support team responsible for performing the spare parts planning and inventory development activities required to support new generation projects across the RRE fleet. This role performs the hands-on work necessary to establish complete, accurate, and maintainable spare parts inventories prior to facility turnover, commissioning, and operation. The Spare Parts Planner is responsible for reviewing EPC and vendor spare parts recommendations, validating spare parts data against equipment manuals and project documentation, developing Bill of Materials and inventory records within Maximo, preparing stock justification documentation, making stocking recommendations, and supporting inventory readiness activities. The position works closely with Plant Integration Team Leads, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, EPC contractors, and equipment vendors to ensure spare parts are established in accordance with Duke Energy inventory requirements and Plant Integration procedures. The role may also provide technical guidance and quality review support to contract personnel and matrixed project resources as needed.
