The University of Southern California (USC) was founded in 1880 and is the largest private employer in the city of Los Angeles. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is seeking a fellowship trained, board certified, academic Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgeon at the level of assistant or associate professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position is ideally suited to a mid-career faculty member. The faculty position would be a part of the Division of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Gynecologic Sub-Specialties and would practice at Keck Medical Center of USC and our affiliated hospitals. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is also committed to serving the underserved population in East Los Angeles through our affiliation with Los Angeles General Medical Center (formerly known as LAC+USC). We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has demonstrated clinical excellence and whose primary responsibility will be to develop the Keck Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery practice, including outreach and shaping service-line growth (clinical protocols, referral relationships, education/outreach). This physician must also have dedication for teaching and training future gynecologists. Clinical responsibilities will include the outpatient and surgical care of complex patients:
The research responsibilities of this position include traditional scholarship that is required for an academic promotion, including conducting and assisting in research projects, and mentoring trainees. Qualifications:
The position offers a salary with excellent university benefits and an academic appointment at the Keck School of Medicine of USC commensurate with the level of training and experience. The annual base salary for this position is $290,000-$325,000, which is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
