Job Summary: The HR Generalist 2 coordinates and oversees the entire new hire onboarding process from the beginning to the end, meeting both the needs of the new hire and hiring manager. They serve as the primary contact to new hires and guide them through the entire hire process. They also support and provide guidance on other transactions during the employee life cycle, including assignment changes and terminations. The HR Generalist 2 also serves as Tier 1 support to new hires, employees, and department managers on issues related to Human Resources transactions, payroll, benefits, timekeeping, pay rates, and related matters. They partner closely with other HR partners to assist in responding to questions and resolving issues for employees. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
