Position Overview
The Department of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with the University of Kansas seeks applicants for part-time & full-time lecturers to teach 100- and 300-level courses such as WGSS 101, WGSS 327, and WGSS 355. Lecturers are non-tenure-track members of the faculty whose primary role is instruction.
Lecturer contracts will be committed on an academic year basis for 1-, 2-, or 3-year appointments. Lecturers can expect to teach in the fall and spring semesters and possibility of summer. The course load is 1-2 at the undergraduate level. There is a possibility that selected lecturers could be reappointed for subsequent years if their teaching performances are strong. This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement between The University of Kansas and United Academics, United Academics of KU, AAUP, or AFT. UAKU is the exclusive representative.
