Collections Specialist

GFTis seeking a highly organized Collections Specialist to join our Administrative Support team in Dallas, TX. This role follows a hybrid-remote work model.

What you'll be challenged to do:

The Collections Specialist is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable by proactively engaging with clients. This role supports financial operations by ensuring accurate data entry in the Deltek VantagePoint ERP system, collaborating with internal teams, and analyzing account information to resolve outstanding balances. The ideal candidate contributes to maintaining strong client relationships while supporting overall cash flow and financial accuracy.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor accounts receivable to identify outstanding debts and aging balances.
• Investigate historical account data to understand and resolve discrepancies.
• Contact clients regarding overdue invoices and payment status.
• Resolve overdue balances and facilitate collection of payments.
• Maintain and report on collection activity and account status.
• Respond to and resolve client questions or complaints related to outstanding debt.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or balances due.
• Assist in resolving customer credit-related issues.
• Support reconciliation and resolution of unapplied payments.
• Collaborate with Billing and Project Accounting Specialists to guide adjustments within the system.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
