Tufts Medicine Primary Careis seeking a Primary Care Regional Medical Directorto oversee our primary care practices in our Lowell area market. We are seeking tenured primary care physicians with the acumen to lead our practices to continued success and to support the goals of Tufts Medicine Primary Care across five domains: quality, patient experience, access,growthand financial stewardship. Key responsibilities of this role will include the following:

Howyou'lltransform patient care:

  • You'llmanage day to day operations, clinical practice oversight, and staff engagement

  • You'llfocus on patient care and develop longitudinal relationships with your patients

  • You'llmanage practice relationships with regional Specialists to keep care local and ensure that care referred to Specialists is high quality and effective

  • You'llwork cross-functionally with executive level leadership to provide direction in the implementation of business and medical strategies, organizational initiatives, and priorities

  • You'llpartner with the clinically integrated network to drive success in value-based contracting, including improving population health metrics, reducing the total cost of care, and achievingperformance-basedtargets tied to risk-based agreements, all while fostering a culture of accountability,collaborationand continuous learning.

  • You'll optimizeaccess to care through innovative care models (e.g., team-based case, telehealth), efficient scheduling and panel management strategies.

  • You'lleffectively manage,facilitate, and communicate organizational change

  • You'llensure clinical functions foster the organization's desired culture of service excellence, accountability and achieves established business goals

  • You'llpartner withthe Provider Recruitment and Retention team and leadership to design and implement retention programs to ensure the availability of a qualified workforce including temporary provider staffing

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $260,000 to $290,000 annuallywithadditionalcompensationcommensuratewith leadership experience. Actual compensation will bedeterminedduring the selection process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, internal equity, and academic rank.
