Overview The Operations Specialist II is responsible for managing and optimizing complex freight forwarding operations across AIT Worldwide Logistics' global network. Oversees end-to-end shipment execution across air, ocean, and ground transportation, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused logistics solutions. Handles high-value and complex shipments, proactively identifies and resolves operational issues, mitigates risks, and ensures compliance with international trade regulations. Serves as a key advisor to customers and internal teams, translating customer requirements into customized logistics solutions that support AIT's consultative, customer-first approach while driving operational excellence. Responsibilities
End-to-End Shipment Execution:
Manage international and domestic shipments across air, ocean, and ground modes from booking through final delivery Coordinate routing, carrier selection, and scheduling to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery Oversee documentation including bills of lading, customs paperwork, invoices, and shipping instructions Qualifications Education * High School Diploma or GED with 6byears of work experience in relevant field (required) or * Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred) Experience * 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation operations (required) * 2+ years work experience with import/export documentation and customs compliance (preferred) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong understanding of multimodal transportation (air, ocean, ground) and global shipping processes Medium * Proficiency with logistics systems, ERP/TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office * Work experience in a global 3PL or freight forwarding environment * Knowledge of specialized verticals (e.g., life sciences, high-tech, automotive) * Ability to have problem-solving and decision-making skills * Must be able to communication and cross-functional collaboration clearly * Must have strong organizational and multitasking capabilities in a fast-paced environment * Must have customer-centric mindset and shows strong relationship management skills * Licenses and Certifications * - IATA (preferred) * - FIATA (preferred) * - APICS (preferred) | |||||
