Location: Remote with Up to 50% | Carrollton, GA (Headquarters)

Travel: Up to 50%

Overview

Our client is seeking a Lead Solutions Engineer to support strategic growth initiatives across Data Centers, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), Microgrids, Industrial, OEM, and Utility markets. This is a highly visible, customer-facing engineering role that bridges the gap between sales, engineering, product management, and end users.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical systems, commercial experience, and the ability to translate customer challenges into scalable technical solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to customers while helping drive product adoption, specifications, and market growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical expert supporting customers, sales teams, distributors, contractors, engineers, EPCs, and project owners.
  • Translate customer requirements and technical challenges into engineered solutions utilizing company products and services.
  • Drive specification efforts for existing and emerging markets.
  • Lead technical discussions and presentations around new products, solutions, and service offerings.
  • Develop innovative service solutions that address customer needs while balancing cost, scalability, and value.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Sales teams to enhance offerings and improve customer outcomes.
  • Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, system designs, and installation requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and provide technical guidance throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Represent company as a technical thought leader through webinars, whitepapers, presentations, videos, and industry events.
  • Participate in codes and standards activities and influence specification adoption within target markets.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting electrical systems, power systems, utility infrastructure, manufacturing, or wire and cable applications.
  • Experience in application engineering, product engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing engineering roles.
  • Strong understanding of electrical power system design and applications.
  • Experience supporting product development, commercialization, and customer adoption initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience supporting:

    • Data Centers
    • Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
    • Microgrids
    • Utility Infrastructure


  • Knowledge of Digital Twin technologies.
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards including:

    • NEC
    • IEEE
    • UL
    • NEMA
    • ASTM
    • CSA
    • ICEA




Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Solutions Engineer, Application Engineer, Product Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Technical Consultant with a strong electrical systems background.
  • Experience supporting customers through solution design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Comfortable leading technical discussions with engineers, contractors, utilities, and executive stakeholders.
  • Able to bridge technical engineering concepts with commercial and business objectives.
  • Prior exposure to power distribution, utility systems, data centers, energy infrastructure, or electrical products preferred.
