Posting Summary
Applicant sought for a part-time (0.15 FTE) co-terminus associate professor of Pediatrics in Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School ( RWJMS). The applicant will work in the Severe Behavior Program of the Rutgers University Center for Autism Research, Education, and Services ( RUCARES) under the supervision of the interim director of the center. The salary for this part-time, co-terminus faculty position is grant funded. The position will terminate if grant funding is not available. The part-time co-terminus faculty assist with overseeing various research grant activities that involve the assessment and treatment of children with autism and related disorders. Their responsibilities include the development and direct supervision of research protocols. Additional responsibilities include developing, writing, and implementing policies and procedures for the research program, as well as writing extramural grant applications. Co-terminus faculty may work with patients who engage in severe forms of aggression which could result in bodily harm.

Minimum Education and Experience
A doctorate in psychology or behavior analysis. Licensed in NJ as a psychologist or behavior analyst. The successful candidate must have documented expertise in the application of quantitative models of behavior for improving clinical outcomes in the target population. Preference given to individuals with experience supervising work with children with autism and related disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting. Proficiency in English for both verbal and written communications is a requirement.
Certifications/Licenses
Licensed in NJ as a psychologist or behavior analyst.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. (List Essential Duty Responsibility Statements.)

1. Facilitate the coordination of bidirectional, translational research spanning rodent to human clinical subjects
2. Recruit and enroll eligible participants in research projects on mitigating treatment relapse
3. Train study staff and monitor procedural fidelity
4. Conduct quantitative model simulations and use results to develop testable modifications to standards of care
5. Assess data accuracy and protocol adherence
6. Coordinate data and drafting reports
7. Conduct fits of relevant quantitative models to results obtained with research participants
8. Share findings with collaborators and develop new targets for future basic research investigations
9. Develop and execute plans to address research protocol non-adherence
10. Disseminate research findings via publications and presentations
11. Steer towards new research directions through literature review and brainstorming ideas
12. Submit extramural research grant applications
13. Adhere to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy
14. Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified
15. Collaborate with other faculty as needed
16. Represent the organization in the community and at relevant events
17. Performs other related duties as assigned
