Director of Manufacturing needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client to work onsite in Austin, TX.

*Active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position!*

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to optimize production efficiency.
  • Design and oversee the assembly process optimized unit efficiency.
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the quality control department to maintain product standards.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing performance.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and operability of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for the manufacturing department.
  • Resolve production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA in a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
  • Experience in building an assembly and/or manufacturing space from the ground up.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Experience with budget preparation and financial management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Ability to work manufacturing timelines with capital restraints.
