Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a critical business partner, providing financial insight, support, and guidance to cross-functional teams. This role combines expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with Credit Collections to support key decision-making processes and ensure the financial health of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead monthly financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making during the forecasting and reporting process.

Provide comprehensive financial support, including program performance analysis, quarterly forecasting, and P&L variance analysis.

Partner with Sales, Repairs, and Product Line teams to drive the monthly forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Develop and deliver financial reports for forecasting, trending, and variance analysis tailored to management needs.

Prepare journal entries, calculate accruals, and perform account reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.

Prepare and distribute monthly Statements of Account to customers, supporting the Principal Specialist with credit and collection activities.

Conduct quarterly maintenance of customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Troubleshoot and provide daily support to the business on credit collection processes, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment.

Proactively collaborate with internal teams to drive resolution of credit-related issues and optimize cash flow.

Develop and distribute standard reporting related to credit collections and accounts receivables.

Knowledge and Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas) and PowerPoint for financial modeling and presentations.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis principles, and complex accounting systems.

Preferred experience with OneStream, Blackline/ARMs, Hyperion HFM, and SAP.

High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely to diverse audiences

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.

Experience in a Fortune 500 company or the Aerospace and Defense industry is strongly preferred.

Education and Certification(s):

Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

An equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience will be considered.

Citizenship: US citizens only
