NB1 is a general adult inpatient unit within the Division of Depression and Anxiety Disorders. This 20-bed unit serves adults in acute crisis who are living with a range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Patients often present with complex psychosocial and environmental stressors, including histories of trauma and limited access to community resources.
Clinical responsibilities include conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, engaging in family work, collaborating with both internal teams and community providers, and delivering patient-centered interventions. The social worker maintains a caseload of approximately five patients and facilitates one therapy/ skills-based group per week. Summary: This position will collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. They work collaboratively with all healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans that support patient-centered plans of care for both individual patients and the medical community Does this position require Patient Care? Yes, in person. Essential Functions: Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal, and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans. -Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team. -Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.
