About the Opportunity The Corporate Engagement team within PBS North Carolina's Development Division is responsible for raising revenue to support the activities and initiatives of PBS North Carolina. This revenue is comprised of a wide variety of Corporate Engagement opportunities, including broadcast, digital, production, and event sponsorship. The team operates with a growth mindset to provide sustainable and increased financial support for PBS North Carolina.
The Corporate Engagement Coordinator is a key position working with the Director of Corporate Engagement, the Director of Corporate Underwriting, and team to serve as a project manager supporting the execution and project management of corporate engagement fundraising opportunities in order for the team to meet and exceed its revenue goals. The individual in this role will manage comprehensive cross-departmental communications for the team. Success in this role requires close collaboration with internal marketing, creative services and programming colleagues, as well as external corporate engagement partners.
The Corporate Engagement Coordinator will also harness data and technology, using a varietyof systems, including Hubspot, LinkedIn, Nielsen's Scarborough system, Protrack, Trac Media tools and other ratings and data analytics, to assist the Corporate Engagement team drive revenue growth opportunities with corporate partners.
Assignments will include, but are not limited to, prospect and account research, proposal preparation, data analysis (including qualitative research from PBS and other public television sources, mining social media and competitive media to identify qualified prospects), coordinating and taking some corporate engagement calls, providing ratings information, preparing customized presentations, soliciting in-kind contributions of goods and services, project managementreporting, and providing excellent customer and client services to all internal and external partners. PBS NC is a statewide network, and some traveling may be required. This position is a hybrid work arrangement and will work at least 3 days per week onsite at PBS North Carolina (Bryan Center) located in Research Triangle Park, NC. UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station. About the Team The PBS North Carolina Development Division is to expand and diversify revenue sources to drive sustainable growth for the organization. The division accomplishes this by generating solicitations and campaigns based in both emotion and intelligence, heart and data. Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Required Competencies Professional Knowledge (Technical): Possession of a designated level of technical skill or knowledge in specific area(s) of development and corporate engagement and the ability to stay up-to-date with developments and trends in these area(s) of expertise. Ability to demonstrate a methodical and logical approach to addressing customer needs, especially the needs of clients and prospects working with the Corporate Engagement team. Professional Knowledge (Professional): Possession of a designated level of professional skill or knowledge in the specific area(s) of development and corporate engagement and the ability to stay up-to-date with developments and trends in these area(s) of expertise. This includes knowledge of PBS and PBS North Carolina development policies, procedures, technology, and best practices. Communication: Oral: Ability to convey information orally to individuals or groups to ensure they understand the message. Ability to listen and respond appropriately to information from others. Written: Ability to develop and deliver written information to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the message. Ability to maintain and enhance internal and external professional relationships to increase credibility for building support and reaching consensus when explaining and interpreting PBS North Carolina Corporate Underwriting policies and procedures; convey sensitive information or decisions to clients; work toward mutual resolutions that are in the best interests of the organization and across organizational lines; promote and market in-kind or trade deals and persuade clients of the needs and beneficial outcomes of partnering with PBS North Carolina; apply creativity to development of strategies and functions; take a lead in presentation of products and cultivation of donors. Project Management: Ability to plan and manage multi-faceted and specialized projects related to corporate engagement opportunities. Ability to conceptualize and create communications as they relate to the area of responsibility from creation through delivery. Requires working with CRM and other databases, marketing materials, schedules and reports to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with PBS North Carolina and PBS standards.
