Overview & Position Summary

This position represents the premium SHAWOOD product line by delivering a highly personalized and elevated customer experience throughout the early stages of the homebuying journey. This role supports community sales goals by presenting the unique design, quality, and craftsmanship elements that differentiate the product. It works closely with construction, design, marketing, and onsite sales teams to ensure accurate information and a seamless handoff for prospective buyers. This position contributes to brand consistency and customer engagement while upholding SHAWOOD standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage prospective buyers, deliver tailored community and product presentations, and introduce them to SHAWOOD's design philosophy and construction principles.
  • Manage early-stage prospect interactions by responding to inquiries, scheduling visits, conducting tours, and supporting qualification activities.
  • Maintain accurate prospect information in CRM systems to support forecasting, reporting, and operational alignment.
  • Explain SHAWOOD product features, building science principles, materials, sustainability attributes, and design considerations in clear, customer-friendly terms.
  • Partner with construction, design, marketing, and sales leaders to ensure consistency in messaging, product knowledge, and customer experience.
  • Support onsite and offsite marketing initiatives, outreach events, and realtor engagement activities that promote SHAWOOD communities.
  • Address buyer questions using broad product knowledge, company policies, and prior experience to guide informed decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing community materials, presentation spaces, and model homes to maintain alignment with SHAWOOD brand standards.
  • Provide informal guidance and support to team members as needed.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience engaging directly with customers in a high-touch, relationship-driven environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in new home sales, residential real estate, architecture, or premium/luxury product sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
  • Understanding of high-performance construction, luxury products, sustainability concepts, or design-driven experiences.

  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and deliver a personalized, high-quality customer experience.
  • Skill in managing multiple prospects, follow-up actions, and scheduling needs.
  • Ability to explain product features, construction concepts, and design elements clearly to customers.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and maintaining accurate information.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and brand consistency.
  • Ability to problem-solve using prior experience, judgment, and situational analysis.
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional partners.
  • Adaptability to evolving customer needs, schedules, and product updates.
  • Ability to provide informal guidance to less experienced staff.

Working Conditions

Work occurs primarily in model homes, design-forward presentation spaces, community sales centers, and general office environments. Regular movement through homesites and partially completed construction areas may be required. Weekend and variable schedules aligned with customer traffic are expected. Limited travel may be required for events, meetings, or brand-related activities.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk through model homes, community areas, and construction-adjacent environments.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while interacting with customers.
  • Ability to lift and carry light materials such as brochures or presentation items.
  • Ability to operate digital sales tools, laptops, and communication devices.
  • Ability to work across indoor and outdoor settings as needed.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $60,000 + comissions (approximately $225,000 annually)
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • On-Target Earnings Breakdown (OTE):
    • Eligible for commission based on sales performance
    • Commission opportunities are tied to individual and community sales performance
    • Earnings potential may vary based on performance

Additional Information: Sales are conducted within a shared, team-based model
