Position Summary
This position will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator ( CRC) within the UNC Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Group, a part of the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease. The CRC will assist with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting study data and biological specimens.

Duties will include:

Participant Recruitment and Management:
* Screen and recruit study participants for studies per study protocol and applicable standard operating procedures
* Obtain informed consent from study participants
* Schedule and conduct study visits per study protocol and applicable standard operating procedures
* Follow study participants throughout their time in the study from recruitment through final study visit

Data Collection and Management:
* Collect study data through a variety of methods per study protocol (e.g., administer surveys, interviews with participants, observing/conducting study activities and recording outcomes, electronic medical record data extraction, collection of biospecimens)
* Record study data and complete applicable case report forms as required in accordance with good clinical practice ( GCP) and ALCOA-C principles
* Enter study data into electronic data capture systems

Clinical Research Operations Support:
* Participate in various study meetings, including study team meetings and sponsor led meetings
* Maintain communications with study sponsors and funding agencies
* Maintain study supplies (e.g., laboratory kits, study materials)
* Perform general administrative support and clerical duties specific to study activities and management
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
-Reliable transportation to travel between UNC campus, Eastowne Clinic and Meadowmont Endoscopy Center
-Research experience
-Experience handling biologic specimens
