Job Overview
The Supply Chain Field Operations Manager provides direct operational leadership for distribution and field logistics functions within the supply chain organization. This role is accountable for leading supervisory and frontline teams responsible for receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities, ensuring consistent application of established processes and practices. The Manager functions within defined policies, standards, and organizational frameworks to support reliable supply chain operations. This position will be based out of the Anschutz Medical Campus and predominantly oversee and manage the perpetual inventory, LUM program, 3PL systems, and supply/medication/PPE/respiratory rooms across the system of care. Occasional travel will be required. Job Status: Full-time, Salaried Shifts: Days. Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides operational leadership for distribution and logistics activities across assigned facilities, including receiving, warehousing (internal and offsite), replenishment, distribution, delivery, and contracted laundry/linen services, in accordance with established supply chain processes and policies.
- Supports logistics operations across hospitals, clinics, and Network of Care locations, including coordination with high-acuity and procedural areas to support supply readiness for patient care environments.
- Manages financial performance of distribution and logistics operations including labor, inventory, and operational expenses. Identifies cost reduction opportunities and drives supply chain savings initiatives.
- Provides direct oversight of supervisors, leads, and frontline staff, including staffing coordination, employee coaching, and support of performance evaluation and development activities.
- Partners with clinical and operational leaders to address distribution and logistics needs and serves as an escalation point for operational supply issues.
- Supports and leads process improvement initiatives using Lean and standard improvement practices to enhance operational workflows within distribution and logistics functions.
- Leads operational execution of supply chain system implementations and enhancements, including ERP, WMS, and inventory tools, in partnership with IT and Supply Chain leadership.
- Oversees PAR level maintenance across clinical and operational areas and partners with clinical teams to support appropriate inventory quantities and replenishment processes.
- Uses dashboards and analytics tools, including SQL-based reports and data warehouse outputs, to monitor inventory and PAR levels across multiple sites and support operational trend analysis and demand forecasting.
- Ensures departmental adherence to organizational policies, regulatory standards, safety practices, and infection prevention requirements.
- Supports supply chain planning and operational execution for new hospital, clinic, or department openings, including inventory setup, supply room configuration, and operational readiness activities.
- Provides operational oversight of third-party logistics partners and inventory management models, including Perpetual, LUM, Kan Ban, and related analytics tools used within assigned facilities.
- Participates in supply chain leadership meetings and cross-functional initiatives as assigned and provides coverage support for the Director when requested.
Scope and Level
- GUIDELINES: Guidelines are in the form of stated vision and objectives for the unit or function. Performs a combination of management and supervisory duties and responsibilities. Work is tactical and operational in nature.
- COMPLEXITY: Work assignment is unstructured, and employee is responsible for implementing and managing a variety of objectives, resources, and strategies to achieve the goals of the unit or function. Duties performed include operational and organizational planning, developing standards, schedules, priorities, guidelines, processes, measurement (evaluation) systems, implementation of production and performance management standards, and allocating resources.
- DECISION MAKING: Employee is responsible for determining strategic structure, goals, objectives, and resources and for providing leadership for the unit or function and the clients it serves. Determines strategy priority shifts for the unit or function.
- COMMUNICATIONS: Contacts are of a non-prescribed nature involving the negotiation and resolution of problems and where exceptional degrees of discretion, judgment, and knowledge are required. Contacts where the exchange of information, support, influence, and cooperation may have a very significant impact on the programs, and/or policies of the organization.
- SUPERVISION RECIEVED: Under managerial direction, the employee has personal accountability for carrying out the work objectives of an organizational unit or section within the scope of established guidelines and the mission of the division. Employee is expected to resolve problems that arise in the normal course of the work. Work may be discussed with higher level supervisors and reviewed for soundness of judgment and feasibility of decisions.
Minimum Qualifications

- Minimum of five (5) total years of materials management experience, with at least three (3) of those years performed in a managerial or supervisory capacity
- Equivalency
- Two (2) years' experience above stated requirements may substitute for degree
Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $88,253.00 to $132,379.50
