The Planning Manager/Lead is responsible for synchronizing our wafer supply chain with factory operations to meet customer demand. This role acts as a critical bridge between Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure manufacturing assets are utilized efficiently while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning department: Manage end-to-end planning activities such as tactical forecasting, production scheduling, customer service and coordination with cross-functional peers.

  • Part Production Scheduling: Develop and own end-to-end tactical part production plans, from order through wafer fabrication.

  • Demand & Supply Alignment: Partner with Capacity Planning to align with Sales, Business Development and to approve operations plans to ensure part demand is in balance with the fab supply capacity.

  • Part Cycle Time: Set part cycle time targets together with Capacity Planning and Area IE teams. Report and identify gaps in performance to plan on Cycle Time and lead cross functional teams to address part cycle time gaps. Set Priority allocations and management across the products in the fab based on business and development requirements.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control starts and work-in-progress (WIP) flow and finished goods inventory to prevent both stockouts and overstocking.

  • Customer Service: Lead customer support reps that manage customer wafer orders, photo mask orders, new part setups. Set and meet service level agreements and quality of execution for these tasks.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply gaps or part production delays and report status, shortages, and risks to operations leadership.

  • Systems Management: Optimize ERP/MRP systems (like SAP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure data integrity and automated reporting

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or commiserate level of industry experience.

  • Experience: 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing or supply chain management.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding manufacturing science principles, foundry ecosystems, and semiconductor wafer fab processes.

What We Offer

Salary: The estimated base salary range for the position is $125,000-$145,000. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position.

Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation: Includes health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, annual bonus, and tuition reimbursement.
